Finally got the SE wheels back on little Akoya now they're fully coated in Gtechniq C5 and wrapped with Yokohama winter tyres.

Always satisfying to see nice shiny wheels all the way through!
(Even if the rest of the car is filthy!)

And finally got my old private registration on - did it when renewing the insurance so no extra fee
Some pressed aluminium ones seemed appropriate for the little aluminium box!

Just chugged by 108k and still going like a trooper - how can a car be so reliable??!? :pose2:

To be expected at this time of year - bit grubby:

I simply used a water / snow foam mix in my mesto foamer hand sprayer - applied and left to dwell for 10 minutes whilst I connected the Pressure Washer up. Quick go around the car (with a stop for a photograph) and it's at least 90% clean. Will only get grubby again so no point in going any further.

Tanklet had a service last week - oil & Filter as usual, and as a special treat got a new fuel and air filter too.

So in the 25 months I've had the little aluminium beastie, I've now gone over 40,000 miles traveled. 60,6mpg isn't to be sniffed at for an average.

Now done over 50,000 miles in the tin can and still at 60.6mpg

Had a quick little tot-up of how much it's cost me in maintenance in my ownership and it's about £450 what with services, MOTs and new brakes front and back so £90 per 10,000 miles or thereabouts. Not bad.

Tax is £30 p.a. and insurance is a couple of hundred.

I was recently thinking of getting something else to commute but have realised there's absolutely zero point. This little aluminium marvel just keeps on plodding away..

Weird little thing just keeps chugging away...

I've been looking at these recently too, as I've got a similar commute coming up. There's plenty with mileage similar to yours, but they don't look half as well looked after.

Can have a chat about them when you're next over :eek:k:

Another boring A2 post...

Another MOT come and gone without a hitch. And another oil and filter change.

On 126k miles now and just chugging away.

I'll have to slum it in the RS for a bit..

But just to hint that the new daily will be more "puma-esque"
