I'll be servicing the puma for the first time this week and have ordered all the bits - including an oil filter.

Is it really necessary to use an oil filter wrench, or can u get away with using your hands most of the time?

Cheers

use your hands, and if that fails smack a screwdriver into it

you can get a better grip of the oil filter by removing the drivers side headlight and reaching through there

Cheers Steve, really couldn't be arsed shelling out £8 for a wrench, when the filter was only £4 aha

As above, a screwdriver poked through the filter aids removal, just make sure to have a bucket under the filter, or your driveway will be covered in a big oil spill.
