Does anyone know if the temperature gauge and rev counter on an analogue clocked car are linked in any way?
My rev counter doesn't work and the temperature gauge seems to move very slightly only but i don't know whether this happens regardless of temperature (meaning that this may just be the movement every time the key is turned to ignition position). The fan does kick in but when the engine gets hot - i know this sounds silly but without a gauge it just 'feels' like it's pretty hot buy the time it kicks in!
Tried swapping temperature sender units over with the Millennium but that hasn't made any difference.
Thanks in advance....

The puma has two different temperature gauages. one feeds the ecu, and the other feeds the dash. as far as i can recall, the wiring isnt linked to the rev counter......but my thinking is you changed the sensor feeding the ecu not the dash.
