Radio Issue

Hi folks,
My radio is on however there is no sound what so ever and the radio can't find a signal I don't think its a code problem or a power issue as it has both, the aerial isconnected just zero sound not peep from the speakers.
Any ideas?

Rrrrrright so, the CD Player works just not radio!

I'm confused, now I have to dig out my old CDs, any ideas on the radio??????

aerial grounding, does the radio just continuously scan, there is a thread somewhere on the aerial mounting rusting above interior light.

otherwise try a wire coat hanger in aerial socket, see what happens, think the wiring is long enough to run stereo when not in dash.
