Hi all,

I've trawled this subforum and can't find for the life of me a simple answer to this...

Which rear spacers bring the rear wheels in line with the fronts? I've an early puma and looking at the back it has factory fitted spacers on the back, however the rear wheels are still slightly narrower track than the fronts.

Thanks!

Josh

Early Puma - remove old factory spacers (10mm) and replace with 30mm giving extra 20mm
Later Puma - fit 20mm spacers

Lovely, thank you!

Any suggestions where to buy spacers other than eBay? May be me but £60 for a pair of 30mm spacers seems a little steep...

Josh

The cast spacers found on the early Puma and on eBay will eventually corrode and fall apart.

For the extra money Personally I would fit billet spacers especially if going to 30mm! They are solid and don't corrode like the cast ones.

These? They are billet ones I'm looking at I think.

Hmm, need a pair of good spacers too, will check this out, for now i bought another pair of original ford puma spacers but indeed, in time they corrode and just break.

Gonna order me a new pair of rear spacers, was just wondering what are the different types available for the Puma? They told me i should go for Streetka spacers?
i have seen this:

FORD 12.5MM REAR AXLE/HUB SPACER SET (2 SPACERS WITH BOLTS)

http://www.part-box.com/product_info.php?products_id=20334

FORD 20.5MM REAR AXLE/HUB SPACER SET (2 SPACERS WITH BOLTS)

http://www.part-box.com/product_info.php?products_id=20336

Anyone has the 20.5 mm mounted on his puma? i thought the original spacers are only 10.0 mm right?

These are billet spacers..

Unfortunately they aren't the cheapest things in the world but you get what you pay for but they will last for years.

When you say that the cast spacers eventually fall apart, what sort of time frame are we talking about or is it mileage related? I fitted a set of 12.5mm cast spacers to the rear of my Puma a few months back so a bit concerned now! They were very cheap though so I've not lost much cash wise but do they become dangerous when they corrode and break?

I removed the original spacers of my 1997 Puma in 2011, they just fell apart in pieces. But if you replaced them some months ago, there should be no problem!

I've got a set of 20mm spacers that were on the car for 2 years and are still completely solid. There's some surface corrosion but I had no concerns about the structural integrity.
