Hi,

As part of stripping out my Puma for track days both pre-tensioners are removed and the normal steering wheel has been replaced.

I'd like to remove the Airbag control module which is now redundant but now obviously get a solid warning light on the dash.

Short of attacking the dashboard with a soldering iron what's the best way of disabling the warning light?

cheers,
Ben.

Hi Ben,
You tried a search of the forum, "airbag removal" etc. might through up something?
Cheers,
Greg

Cheers for the replies people.

Would it be possible to put a resistor or something between two of the pins on the airbag control module loom?

Does anyone know if this is even possible or is the check between the ECU and airbag module more complex? (I suspect so,)

i saw a friend who had an aftermarket steering wheel and it had a resistor between the pins - not sure of the resist value though sorry

the other method as you said is to remove the LED :)
