Just had the van in for MOT. Failed on track rod end, ball joint, low effort parking brake, wheel bearing, fog light out, two tyres, and rear reflectors (lack of)

Stripped front offside down, found pads seized in the caliper. Front discs, £100 a pair.
Rear wheel bearing, comes pre pressed in the disc, £150 pair.
Brake pads for 4 corners, £120.
Low effort parking brake, dodgy cables. Handbrake cable complete, £48.
Track rod end, £20.
Ball joint, £20.
Tyres, £90 each.

About a quarter of what it cost to get my TT through it's MOT last year. (It sailed through this year thankfully!)

I haven't yet Highrevs.

Been servicing the front off side caliper today, pretty much seized solid. Not sure how it wasn't flagged up. Anyhow, I stripped and sandblasted it today and the etch primer is curing as we speak. Colour tomorrow and clearcoat on sunday.

Mate of mine works at Renault so is pricing up for me tomorrow. Added a cam belt to the list, confidence in it at zero now...

Revised price on discs and pads from my man on the inside, £198 all in.

Maybe I'll buy the Puma a new cam belt with the money Iv'e saved

Update on the van.

Broke a CV joint trying to separate it to fit the new boot.

There goes £50 out of the Puma cam belt kitty :evil:
