Well guys. Got a set of Yamaha R1 bike carbs on a Puma manifold cheap enough a good bit back but never got around to getting them going. It came with the fuel rail, injectors and a bit of loom to the injectors. What I was wondering was, what's the most cost effective way of managing them? Is it possible to use existing wiring and ECU and remap it or would I have to to go aftermarket?

use a standalone ECU, mapping will be a PITA as will getting a nice progressive throttle action at low throttle opening. Good luck :)

You could get hold of a second hand megasquirt and then map it yourself for free :) You might need a wideband lambda to get it mapped with any degree of accuracy.

Unless you have done other mods I cant see it being any better than the standard setup :(
