I have done a few oil changes over the last 40 odd years, including about 6 on my Puma, but for the last two, I have suffered a slow drip from the sump plug. For both I have used a new sump plug, and tightened it as "normal".
I did a bit of searching on the forum, found a post with torque setting, and lots of posts about very difficult to remove sump plugs, and what spanner size fits, etc (1/2 in, if you buy a new one, then you can try your spanners before you get under the car!).
So, anyone know if Ford have changed spec on the sump plug seal, or if when they do an oil change, they really tighten up the plug to make sure it does not weep?
