For all you old gits out there you'll be pleased to hear that listening to the new Eagles album is just like listening to an OLD Eagles album, and that's no bad thing.
Two CD's and 21 new songs mean the dirth of new material is well and truly made up for. How long since the last new stuff? Bout 12 or 13 years I reckon and even then it was just a few new songs on the Hell Freezes Over album.
Great melodys and a mix of easy listening and foot stomping rock are the order of the day. While the album could arguably have been whittled down to 1 CD featuring only the most standout tracks I guess we should just be thankful for what we have. At a tenner in Virgin Megastore it's pretty good value too (when the heck did new CD's become so cheap!!).
No matter what I say you're going to buy it anyway and it's almost a certainty to be number 1.
