I'll second that!

Evo's are cool cool, have a softer spot for GTO's though and almost brought an FTO over the puma!

update on the evo! it turned out to be in a worse state that previously thought once i got it to my garage  turned out the crank had walked so bad the crank and block weren't salvageable,so its a engine out job, thought i would post up a few pics of where i'm at with it of you guys.

took the gearbox out first as i didn't think my trolley would take the weight of both

and i would have been right lol

the bay

this is how black it was!

after a good clean

now in the process of swapping everything from this

to this

found the balance shaft belt was snapped!

give the intercooler a clean up

that's all for now folks

Seriously is that the same intercooler, looking good will be great when its finished

Nice!! :)

My favourite Evo.

It got a roasting in a Jackie Chan film in mid 90's which name escapes me.

Enjoy

Exhaust is now on,will be starting it up tomorrow! mixed feeling on that nerves and excited lol

bought a downpipe that said it was a decat downpipe,to me i thought it mean't it was longer to take the cat out,but i was wrong so i had to reuse my old decat pipe

cleaned up with the wideband sensor fitted

the exhaust

front bumper resprayed and back on, it is a different color to the car at the mow as the car needs a good clean up

Update for you guys, bad news im afraid :-( started bleeding the coolant and topping the oil up engine was running nice,Then after a few minutes it made a screaming sound and started to stall so i ran and turned it off, took the sump off and checked the main and rod bearings and all of them were scored :-( the oil clearances must have been to tight,I took some advice of a guy that owns a garage "evo specialist" who said just use std size bearings they will be fine! should have plastigauged  iv'e been kicked in the nuts and it hurt less!

so i guess are give up................................... nah lol,Iv'e got a evo 7 block that need a rebore so i'm going to rebuild that, also got a 4g64 forged stroker 2.3 crank for it and forged rods so hopefully this one will run well.
