Good choice with the S Type though - logical progression from the 'X'.

It was the 2.7 V6 that 'sold' it to me. That and the colour, which is nearly Imperial Blue again

Well there's good news and there's bad news.

The good news is that the insurers wrote off the X-Type and offered me far more than I ever could have expected as a part-ex on the S-Type. There still remains the renewal premium, as my NCD wasn't protected... Time will tell

But, the S-Type developed a 'Restricted Performance' fault on the way home a week ago last Friday so I took the car back the same day and haven't seen it since. Rumour has it to new EGR units are being fitted.
