tractor puma lol

Hi guys having some trouble with the puma, had abit of snow and ice lately and my car wouldn't start for work so left it untill i came home when i did car started but now makes like a diesil engine sound like a mini tractor and the sound seems to be coming from the left hand side as u look at the engine where the belts are! thinking it could be the water pump fins as car is due for cam belt change soon! anybody have any other ideas or can confirm? cheers Matt

might just be the weather for the sound... my black Puma used to sound like a proper rough 'un sometimes when it was cold!

My other half's Nissan 200sx sounded like a diesel recently after he changed the oil, so he changed it again to what he used before and that seems to have cured it. Has the Puma been serviced recently?

If the engine has condensation in it due to the weather, then it will sound like a bag of bolts until it dries out
