Hi all,

The Puma turns over like a dream so I imagine the battery and starter motor are in good order but it's very sluggish to actually start. Sometimes it will half start and just die and sometime it wont start at all. Pumping the gas pedal helps.

Advisory on last MOT is corroded fuel filter... Not sure if that might make a difference?

As always, help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!

Is the starting problems when it is cold or after a short drive?
Maybe check the spark plugs and rocker gasket for leaks?

I`d change the filter anyway.Mine does struggle to restart after a run of about half a mile from cold.

Generally when it's cold. After a short drive she starts up fine.

Hmm, I will google "rocker gasket". Ahem

The air filter was recently changed also!

As already said, get that fuel filter changed anyway. Being an advisory on your MOT may well mean a failure next time around of its not replaced.
If your spark plugs are ok it might be worth checking your HT leads or coil pack :)
