Also for what its worth the key hole on my Passat boot is horizontal, ie in line with the number plate (and absolutely jammed solid) but boot works fine with key or in car button, long may that continue or no doubt I will be going in through the boot at some time :grin:

Hmm how strange from what I can gather in that position it should be isolating it from the central locking, oh well maybe its the other way round on yours. :thumbs:
