Lotus birthday at Hethel on 29 September.Just got my ticket for me and my 9 year old grandson.Factory tour, design centre and Museum plus demo laps on circuit. And it’s free so long as you go in your Lotus!

I am curious to learn how many of the older Lotus's (not from your era of car Dave)will actually make it there if they set off? Loads of trouble usually serious (LOTUS), springs to mind.
However I am sure it will be a great day out for those that make it

Think most 60s and 70s Lotus are reliable these days, cooling ,wishbones etc all updated now.Still get people telling me how unreliable Lotus are ,have to explain mine is the most reliable performance car I’ve owned.1.8 litre ,nearly 300bhp 200 ft lbs torque.Probably done 40 trackdays 50k miles and still on original clutch and gearbox.I LOVE it.
