This is a concern especially with the Audi as they have so much electrical kit and the replacement parts are not known for being the cheapest. The W12 above had 130k on the clock which put me off it despite it being so bloody tempting. It's also why I decided to reduce the budget if I decide to get big Audi.ScubaSteve said:Remember a lot of these big cars with fancy engines eg w12 will cost an absolute fortune to maintain and if they go wrong
It's not so much the financial implications that worry me, it's more the fact that when i do eventually buy one I just know a better one on paper will come onto the market the very next day and I hate missing out - even though I already have on a few by being too tentative. I just wish I could have done it like you did, you had one car in mind and could concentrate on those alone. I'm easily swayed by anything that comes on the market that looks like a good deal.XIIVVX said:Loving this thread, it has all the fun of doing a car search yourself with none of the horrendous financial implications at the end.
Can I just put up for consideration one of the late, twin turbo Supras?
The Supra is a bit long in the tooth now as well as the 300zx which I also liked once upon a time.
Only if it was a GT-R and they are still at way more than I'd like to pay for a car.deejames said:or a skyline . . .
Funnily enough I was looking at some last night and they can be bought very cheap now c£8-£10k. I loved them when they came out especially the one with the snarling bonnet vents but since the VXR8 came out I like it's less agressive looks and I suppose I'm being a bit pompous in the fact that you'd just have to have the 6.2 LS3 engine or is that just me...lol.Neil said:Perhaps a Vauxhall Monaro?
Latest update I've spotted another nice A8 4.2 Quattro that's looks great on paper, typically in Sheffield where I was last week ffs - just my luck, but not that far to go and take a look
