Car looks mint and some good videos with the pumesta, what db reading did you have at Cadwell.

96db, I think they are very generous as our meter says 106. My old MG was 110 on our meter but flew through at Cadwell they said it was only 90db??? I think they just let most go unless they are insanely loud. One bloke in the paddock was talking about his noise test as he said it popped and banged a bit ans went well over the limit - they just said dont pop and bang on circuit lol

new update, struggled withe the much thinner race boots I just bought to heel and toe properly so invested in some new pedals

OK track report from Oulton - met up with Trublustu great bloke, him and his Mrs are well into tracking their Puma, loads of enthusiasm and hope to meet up again sometime.

We had an absolute blast. Everyone that came with us - Pumesta and two Civic EK9 type Rs were on semi slicks and I had a set but no wheels to fit them to. Stuck with my T1Rs I put up a valient fight. looking at the entry list I thought I would be the slowest car on track.... how wrong I was. The little Puma was zipping past all sorts including Westfields. The T1Rs were brilliant again in the dry, cannot recommend these tyres enough for the Puma.

No pro photos this time but have a few videos to share.

1st one is just pure in car Puma on full song, just brilliant - who says you cant drift a fwd car https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUimhPxySXY" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

2nd from our Pumest as camera car again, some major drifting but some great fun on an awesome track https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvJpERMJr9g" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; watch out at 9.50 a Pug GTi gets out of shape at lodge and spins infront of me and Stu, scary stuff

some more videos uploaded https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stwJusCSViw" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JI0IVY82u48" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKN6ZmpTiGM" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Well, I've done it again, bought another Puma although this one is for the Mrs. £200 put it through an MOT and it just needs a back box and 4 tyres. Poor pic and yes the bonnet is open but it drives spot on 86k on the clock full service history up to last year, loads spent on it lots of bills at Ford dealership. Had a very very small light dink on the O/s front corner and the paint on the bonnet isn't the best but will just respray and jobs a good un

I've already told the Mrs, if I crash the track car - you've lost it lol

What colour blue is it?Cheap as chips for 200 squid.Is the floor and chassis legs solid.

Good vids from Oulton! Enjoyed those a lot. Good driving too.

Not sure I can vouch for the T1Rs the same. They were fairly good in my Ka at Brands. They're not great on my puma but then more power now and the car isn't set up right so probably not getting the most from the tyres.

Glenn, I think its imperial blue, looks purple in certain lights

Moondustka, thanks, we were having a ball and quicker than a lot of cars, we actually went having seen the entry list that we would be the slowest out there...how wrong we were. my se up is 80mm lowered at the front and 100mm lowered at the rear, coilovers and polybushes all round with front and rear upper and lower strut braces. Lots of turn in and grip with a touch of oversteer controlled by lift off or braking.

Pulled consistent 2.14/15 laps and probably a bit quicker at the end of the day with empty tank and clear track being pushed very hard by my son in his Pumesta with semi slicks on.

Finally figured out how to publish HD quality videos onto Youtube - here's one from Oulton Park https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBDLdT9ZVUs&list=UUMxcdecPDDiYxVH54F5K6Eg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

its a very cheap GoPro copy, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Full-HD-1080p-Sport-Action-Camera-Waterproof-Video-Photo-Helmetcam-SJ4000-DV-UK-/310987519526?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_Video_Camcorders&hash=item48684cf626" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

all the fittings fit directly on to GoPro stuff, barring a few things like remote control its identical to a GoPro but a fraction of the cost, I actually paid £70 for mine but now they are even cheaper

ok so bought another Puma for the wife and had a nightmare taxing it...but its finally legal 2 puma family

just bought a set of fan blades to use with semi slicks for the track car, do I paint them green or keep them black

well the Cadwell curse has hit again. Engine No2 isn't behaving well. It won't hold a steady speed and has a very slight intermittant misfire at low revs. Cadwell booked for 31st of this month so 3 weeks to sort it. Going to try a new coil pack and HT leads, sparkies are brand new and the engine has had a fuel system flush and engine flush with oil change so it has to be electrical realistically.

Something always happens either at Cadwell or just before it. No spare engines in the garage at the moment...although the wifes car is an option......hmmmm. I could swap engines if I don't cure it......we will see. I knew I bought her a Puma for a reason.

Mine was running lumpy after I installed the manifold and I diagnosed it to be the lambda sensor but if all else fails wife's sounds like a good idea, hope you get it sorted mate

Look on bright side Mick, low revs shouldn't be a problem on track!
Coil pack, plugs or crap in a connection (maf,tp,lamba take your pick) sounds likely.
I thought 3 weeks was plenty of time to get mine just right, it isn't!
Gonna be a last minute rush for next Friday if I'm not careful...

Hope you get it sorted Nick. At least you have wife's car as a source of bits to swap over to trace the problem. Looking forward to popping along to meet the car.. and you of course. Just taken delivery of an evo spoiler like yours. Any advise on does or don't when fitting?
