lol mate i cant wait to have some colure on it, and when all the inside is done its going to look well good
the hard work is now paying off, and ford fair is getting so close, its going to be touch and go i think, painter said it will be painted in july so we will see. hope it pass the mot in augs so can tax it. as ant got time to fit my new under body met bits.
But big smiles after the week i had with it lol

As I said before, once it is painted let me know if you need a hand putting it back together, it will be at ford fair to show off your hard work.

but it will be half finished as still got all my under body parts to fit yet and stone chip the floor, but i think my manger wants it gone lol. hoping next weekend it will be in primer

One tip, put your new rear shocks on while your trim is out, they are a bit tricky with the trim panels in place and it is only 2 nuts each side to change them.

lol do ya well heres more photos then.

Cut my glass out today so can starting prep the out side, also been removing the paint off the rails and refilling when the panel is joined as want the car to have the same level of paint all way round and no ripples due to paint edges.

paint removed now.

re filled as when remove paint had to touch the filler and to be fair there was to much filler in it, so made this part better

i can now see the light :grin:

well the only part which will not be bare is the roof due to it only eva been painted once, but all the other parts are going bare, just got the doors boot and doors to do now, the ech primer and 2pack primer

im going for original mate, ive been there before moding cars and off cars, almost had 4 pages in maxpower 2005 with my green saxo one off kit i made and engine work,
Never no.... i may try ford mags haha but it wont be that good to may mint ones where mine is 88k.
So this one is going all standard just the way i like the, lol.
wheels are getting power coated silver when ive saved up lol, cant get the original sound dead pads which im sad about but what can i say im trying my best.

It is really close now for paint, maybe this time next week it be in primer lol. i so cant wait

And a Stanley knife to cut them into the right shape. Heat gun and hey presto. Take a template from another puma. I'm sure a man of your calibre can make it look original lol.

we have got some at work but they are differnt, i did the xr2 in the ones from work didnt look to bad but the puma has some press lines in them and our ones are plan at work.

But ill sort it this is the easy part lol

nice to hear that i just didnt want to take over lol as i dont no many on here and every day im posting stuff lol, just hope it makes it to ford fair as i will be out with group yay but after show back off road we go under side haha.

Well i did say id never sell it, but you never no what happens do we. i plan to keep it for years and year lol.

but at least everyone now knowns about 401 :wink:

#401 is shell is now all ready for primer, hoping my mate car do this in the morning but hes mrs hit hes dad car lol so hes gota fixs it :evil:

But will starting on the 2 doors back to bear metal and the wing, get them ready. i love it haha ! :grin:

ok today is the day #401 gets primerd
I have removed the pop rivets, so that i dont have a build up of paint round them and where its pop riveted it got paint over it.

My other wing i bought in week fort id strip it as well

OK here it is, fort id jack it up and remove the wheels so thatit easyer for the painter and everywhere gets painted.

boot floor ech primered

Car now ech primered, this is a must on bear metal, the frp rear wing was never etched primered, just the black paint then tickford just 2 packed it, so fort id do it right last longer.

Now the inside is wet on wet primer, just need to rub down and seal up.

2 pack primer, 4 coats, need to bloke down now and strip paint of the doors and do the same to them.
