Can anyone help with this please. ABS and TC lights contantly on and when local garage diagnostic kit plugged in it returns a code of P3302. He is suppost to be finding out what this means and calling me (so hopefully might be able to get further advice) but I have no clue what that code means as most code tables I can find dont even get to 2000. I was hoping to get a second opinion from somebody on here who specifically knows problems with puma's, so I dont get ripped off at the garage. Thanks guys.

If your TC and ABS light is constantly on, it'll most likely be an ABS sensor that has gone kaput. If your mechanic is any good, they should be able to tell you what wheel it is.

£200 fitted from Ford, considerably cheaper elsewhere.

:eek:k:

And welcome along ;)

Thanks very much Dal. I thought it might be a sensor issue (in fact every issue I have had with any car and a warning light has been down to the damn sensors failing! Rather ironic isn’t it).

I was surprised he couldn’t tell me what the P3302 code meant at the time (I thought the scanners gave you a one line explanation of the code), but he has made a phone call to somewhere and will call me when he gets an answer). Are there any places of reference for theses codes - the ones I have found so far on the internet only go up to codes around P1918?

If the sensor needs replacement, is it something you can tackle yourself? Is it a simple task of removal and refitting? I have seen on the forum that you can test the sensors with a multimeter by removal and then checking across the connectors for open circuit to find the faulty one, is that correct?

Sorry about the barrage of questions, it just that I am on a miniscule budget and with xmas and a recession looming, I am keen to keep my expense down to an absolute minimum. Thanks so much.

Yes, you can check them yourself with a multimeter - check this thread out:

They can be a bit of a pig to get out (testing is easy, just unplug it and connect across the pins) but if you know which one you need to replace, it doesn't matter if you destroy it getting it out.

You can get them from Eurocarparts much cheaper than Fords:

Give your nearest one a call for a price (About £60ish) as they are not listed on their website.

Or from Ebay:

P3302 is Bank 2 Camshaft Position Sensor

All P33xx = Ignition System Misfire

You def sure he said P3302?

A P0302 is Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected, for comparison
