Abs?

I think I know the answer to this question but thought I'd ask anyway! Ok so after weeks of not doing anything we decided today would be a good day to start stripping the puma in prep for new suspension brakes and bushes etc etc now when the wheel arch lining was out I noticed an unused plug in the wheel arch so checked the other side and its got one too now first thought was abs so turned the key to see the lights on the dash no abs light?!? Now did it have abs when it came out the factory and someone's removed it at some point and either disabled or covered up the abs light on the dash or maybe it didn't have it at all? I think my previous pumas had abs and traction control lights but I can't be sure if it did can I put it back in?
