Central locking

For some reason my remote will not lock the car. The key fob is only about 5 months old plus I tried using the fob from the Millie after swapping the transponder over but still no good. I can't lock the car as I have swapped doors and never changed the lock over
I can still open the tailgate from the remote so I'm a little confused where to look. Any advice ?

My key totally failed to unlock my car at the weekend. I went on the 'How to' guide, Cherrie has posted a very good post on how to reset the key. I reset the key using the guide. It worked a treat.

Transponder is completely IRRELEVANT to the unlocking. Transponder is needed only to start the engine.
