I've read somewhere about a metal or chrome handbrake for the Puma. Unfortunately, mine does not have this and I'd be interested in getting one. Presumably these were a Ford original part rather than a generic aftermarket eBay jobbie?

Also, is it the same metal as the gear knob, ie. do they match? I'd be very grateful if someone who has one of these could post a photo so I can see what they look like.

This is plastic and is standard on later models I believe.

And it more closely matches the dash plastic rather than the hand brake. It was an option I believe. I had it in my first Puma.
 
I've always thought they looked a bit naff. Still, each to their own.
 
I must confess they don't look as I'd imagined them to.

I wonder what they look like fitted? Anyone got photos of them fitted?
 
Personally I like the Ford plastic one and had them on both my Puma's, in my opinion its no more or less naff than the other silver painted interior trim parts and it definitely makes the handbrake feel better in your hand.
