I was asked how I read off the ECU's fault codes etc by a member.
But can't reply for some strange reason, so I thought I would make a post.
I use Scangauge2 unit, got mine off Ebay about £125 of something.
I read off digital speed, Revs, MPG and throttle position sensor reading ((got fed up with water temp, air intake temp and volts) for now.
I found out yesterday you can change to display colour . Got a pretty good colour match for the FRP interior.
The unit just plugs into the ECU post in the passenger footwell left hand side small flap in carpet.
I run the wires under the carpet then cable tied to the bottom of the glove box to the centre console.
Fitted into a ashtray / coin holder I got from a scrap yard
It can read most inputs and reset all fault codes on most cars.
I reset a heater plug alarm on the wifes Toyota with it :shock:
