hi, can somone suply me whit an frp vin number?? I need it to log into etis and get the thype aproval numbers, for my aplication to the norwegian motor vehicle regestry so that I can have my puma aproved as an frp :) this is a little far out yet, but I need to do the preporations anyway :)

Thanx

FRPs on etis come up as standard 1.7 pumas anyway with a "ford racing puma" as one of the optional extras, if you use any of the regs that were original to the car then etis should give you the details.

Simon

I just did a lookup for W614XPU from a google image search and it worked

This no longer appears to work with reg no's. Looks like only VIN no's accepted now. :|

reg number only works with the original reg the car was registered with,as i tried my escort last week on it and found out the reg was different when registered and have to use the vin number

Sometimes the page doesn't give you the option to enter a reg number.

Plus as posted, the reg records are generally only the first recorded plate and not what is currently on the car.

I normally look up the reg using one of the parts systems then take the VIN and put that in ETIS.

If anyone needs VIN numbers looking up from a current reg, PM me the reg.

This is what I see on my works computer, where I’m currently at, running W7 and ‘up to date’ Chrome. No registration number field:

At home, where I tried a few days back, there were 2 fields including registration plate. Running Vista and Chrome at home.

I’m wanting to check red Pumas to decipher whether they’re Radiant or Colorado. I’m getting confused by some 2000/1999 registered Pumas I’ve seen for sale. Is there another way, because I'll be at work 90% of this coming week.

Try this link:
https://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Nope, just the same YOG, just the VIN field again with that link. :|

Yeah just VIN for me currently as well.

Might be down to how busy the site is, or whether the reg option is not available for certain networks/users. I can't narrow it down to any particularly time although I very rarely see it at home.

Colour is on the VIN plate on the car, second box from the bottom on the left but I'm not sure if they share the same code with both being red. There is information in old posts if you have some time to have a search about.

Try this then:
I'm using Windows 8, this is the heading at the top of the page.

You might want to check
https://www.etis.ford.com/home/welcome.do" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and click on "Preferences", as mine showed United States, which I changed to United Kingdom.

BINGO, that did the trick! As soon as I switched from US to UK. Thanks YOG! :grin:

It appears to not always state which body colour. Most stated, but not all. I was intrigued whether V799HWC was Radiant red or Colorado, but it misses out the colour field on that car.

Worked for me too, mystery solved.
