So if you had a FRP insured with express insurance you would be a fat cat getting ripped off by a fat cat

Im with sky insurance an they are very good, beat my other price by approx £350 an more helpful

Im in a similar situation, My renewal is up next month, so thought i would try Adrian FLux and see what happens,

Im 19, got 1 year NCB (will have next month anyway), but have a 1 month driving ban on my liscense, but no points and work as a preicsion Engineer!

current insurance on my 1.4 puma, is £1600(first year driving), my renewal with elephant, came through at £1085! so thought i would shop around see if i can get it under a grand, i got a quote from Adrian Flux, they wanted £5400 a year to insure my car :p

went onto comparison websites, all the quotes im getting are around the £1000-£1200 mark, so how the hell can they justify trying to charge me £5400 for a years insurance?

Adrian Flux (and Sky) tend to give better deals for modified and sports cars. A 1.4 puma is not what they cater to, so won't be competitive.

43 Years old, Wife as named driver on a 51 Plate 1.7 Puma, completely standard, 0 NCD (out of the country for the last 7 years) , Living out in the countryside - £475 :'(

Hi everyone, my 1.7 is currently off the road, it was damaged in an accident and written off, as it was not my fault the other guys insurance paid out on my car but let me keep it, it is now a cat c.
It is currently sorn on my driveway but I have repaired it, can I tax and insure it before I get a vic check?

Any help would be great

Cheers

My renewal has just come through at a wopping £2666!! thats with graham sykes

I had a very bad year last year with two accidents that were my fault and one that wasn't which wrote my car off :(

Cheapest i've seen is ford at 1800 odd anyone with a colorful history as mine recommend anywhere ?

Maybe i'll have to suck it up for a year to build up some ncb i've gone four months without a claim so going better than last year already touch wood!

Tried them before they were offering silly quotes when graham sykes insured me on my 205 gti for £1000

I'm with Privilege also. Me and my wife fully comp £430,I was always a named driver on her insurance but took this out in my name to build some of my own NCD.

Prepare to weep. I'm 66, and paid £220 on my 1.7 with Liverpool-Victoria (LV) - 5 yrs NCB but 9 years since it was my fault. I didn't even need to promise to have my granny in the passenger seat and keep the handbrake on. However, although it's fully-comp, it has a £400 excess - I suspect the car is worth £450 on the open market*

Strangely, it was cheaper if I included my wife on the policy. (I suppose if you haven't got a wife, you could always borrow someone's for the savings.)

However, LV are low in the customer experience stakes: I had to cancel my insurance on my previous car and they told me that I would be charged £40 for the privilege. I had used only 4 months of the 12 month premium but I got only half of the original premium back anyway. I spent a lot of time arranging another quote, only to be told by a broker that I'd get the £40 back if I went with LV again. I phoned them again, and they said this was true. I moaned that they had not said this and I had spent a fortune on the phone. They agreed to give me another £25 as compensation for the inconvenience. That was about 3 weeks ago, and I've heard nothing other than "We'll post the money to you." (Note to self, "send abusive email.")

*to me, it has a price beyond the ransom of Princes and dreams of avarice.

Last years insurance was paid for out right at £545 fully comp with protected no claims
Got my renewal through at £695!!

Got some quotes based on the same information on current insurance and got a price of £431!
