how to remove the analogue speedo??

Has anyone removed the analogue speedo before?? I cannot see behind the speedo to remove the speedo cable... how is the cable attached to the speedo?? is is a screw type?? or is it a clip on and push sides to un clip kind of connector??

deos anyone have a picture of it handy i can have a look at??

I'd be suprised if there is no pics anywhere on here or the other site considering how many people have changed the speedo dials.

most of the people i know who change speedo dials worked with DIGITAL speedos and not analogue ones.

I have done a search but have not been able to see how the speedo cable is linked to the speedo on ANALOGUE speedos

its just a white plastic clip you need to "squeeze" to release, but its fiddly to do first time.

Great, I was wondring about the same thing 2 days ago,I tried several times to get it off without any luck.

Ps: the spedo cable does it have the Vss signal?

noooo speedo cable is mechanical ONLY. on early pumas the VSS feeds the ECU only.
