Hi all.
I'm new to the forum here. I've had my puma for a few months, and haven't done a huge amount to it; I don't have a lot of free time to work on it. Ignoring this, today I got myself a nice set of Sierra Cosworth lattice alloys.
In my naivety, I thought that these 7J wheels would sit fine on the studs supporting the previous 6J fan wheels
My problem is this: The wheel studs on all four wheels are not long enough. The wheel will go on, and I can get the nuts to tighten on, but because of the lack of length, they are not on far enough. With the 6J's on, the thread surpasses the top of the nut. With the 7's, it comes about two thirds of the way up, and it's not enough support to be comfortable driving around on them
What the 6J's thread looks like:
If anyone knows where I may be able to acquire some longer wheel studs for all four wheels I would be greatly appreciative. Another 10mm would be ideal.
Thanks in advance,
Matt
