Hello,

the cluth in my wifes Puma has started slipping, so I have been looking on line for a new kit, have learned a lot about clutch kits and the slave cylinder/release bearing, but, I cannot find out what the difference is between the MHA & MHB engines (1.7).

I have found a supplier of clutches online, and the spec advises it is for a MHA engine(1.7), but, the wifes Puma has an MHB engine(1.7), will the MHA clutch fit?

Does anyone know what the differences are between the MHA & MHB?

Thanks

I don't know what the difference is (negligible) but I'm pretty confident the clutch kit will fit.

This is one difference for sure, they have different ConRod bearings.

No, they don't and these are wrong dimensions, BTW.
The big ends are 42/45 mm. I know that for a fact, as I have measured them. You can find the info on the page 11 of my JASAPP thread...

Does anyone know to tell a MHB apart from a MHA?. I have conflicting information of when this transition was implemented in every country. My car is German, I live in Barcelona.

In case my car were MHA: do you happen to know if I can convert it to MHB by adding a lambda sonde?

Any info is MASSIVELY appreciated since only Euro III cars are now allowed to circulate in traffic now. So it depends on this whether I can drive my car or not.
