Modified throttle body on the frp??

I have seen a modified throttle body on ebay for £75 they bore out the internals by a few mm for better airflow.
Basicly i wanted to know are the throttle body's on the frp engine the same as the standard 1.7? As i would like to modify my new frp one.

I am on look out for a scrap mondeo, have a spare manifold, so if can find a way of getting a TB for nothing, I will have a play with spare manifold.

is the FRP TB better than Mondeo one?

do you mean that one, as they are machining out and fitting a 54mm butterfly

Yeah thats the one, i want to get one, supposedly its a noticeable difference, i thought with thr plenumbit will give me a better amount of intake for ever so slightly bigger bangs

I fitted a 2ltr mondy throttle body to my puma.It does feel more responsive.I took the top part of the inlet manifold off and bored the hole out so that the mondy tb would fit properly.

How many mpg do you get now?

Its worse than it was but mpg doesnt bother me.
