Tuners are getting 500bhp from the 2.3l Ecoboost in the Mustang so decent power from Mountune should be on the cards:

Power is provided by a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine which has been equipped a "FreakoBoost" performance package that includes a new intake, exhaust manifold, turbo downpipe, intercooler, oil cooler and cat-back exhaust system. The engine also has a larger twin-scroll BorgWarner turbocharger which helps it produce an estimated 500 bhp (373 kW) and 450 lb-ft (609 Nm) of torque - an increase of 190 bhp (141 kW) and 230 lb-ft (311 Nm).

My feeling is Mountune will offer two stages of tune, a dealer option of 375bhp which you could do with a remap, panel filter and slightly larger intercooler and they'll got for a 400bhp aftermarket package. I can see other tuning shops having these upwards of 600bhp in no time at all, hopefully the chassis and 4WD system can take the power!

I also don't think it will be long before we see a rear drive conversion as well!

Could also be a Fiesta RS on the way too:

And from elsewhere:

I made this throwaway account to share some important information with y'all. I work for a Ford supplier here in Michigan. We manufacture headlights, drivetrain parts, various subassemblies, and all kinds of other parts for GM, Ford, FCA, and a few foreign automakers like Honda.

Ford has an internal product timeline that is shared with automotive suppliers. This isn't the latest and greatest timeline used by the Ford engineering teams -- this is a timeline that's a step back from that one, and indicates products that are on the path to manufacturing and eventual launch (usually 2 years or so later). The other day, I WAS SO EXCITED to see the FIESTA RS on the timeline. I don't know all the details, as I don't work for Ford HQ, but it looks like there are AWD components that need to be manufactured.

So the FIESTA RS IS COMING guys, and the rumors that the Fiesta RS will use the Focus RS AWD are probably spot on!

I was thinking HARD about buying a Focus RS, but I think I'm going to wait for the Fiesta RS. Compact turbo AWD manual hatch for less than $30k likely...dear God this will be a fun car. An Audi S1 of sorts, for the US.

I don't know how many questions I can answer, but I'll try to respond the best I can. I will then re-join the forum at a later date under a real account, not mentioning this one.

Could all be cobblers though but there you go.

The Stealth Grey is rumoured to be a North America only colour. Europe getting Magnetic Grey as seen on the Mustang:

My order of preference: Imola red M3 -> blue -> grey -> black -> white. :p

Did I mention it's the same colour as my dearly departed Clio?

Ford UK have confirmed the power for the 2016 Focus RS. All 350 glorious PS of it.

EDIT:
Ford has revealed the new Focus RS will produce an astonishing 350hp – that’s 10% more than the Ford Mustang 2.3 EcoBoost it shares an engine with!

The headline-grabbing peak power output has been revealed on the eve of the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where hoonigan Ken Block is set to entertain the crowds on the Goodwood Hillclimb behind the wheel of the new Focus RS.

Making its UK debut, the new ultra-hot Ford’s battery of driving tech will be demonstrated, including the industry-first Drift Mode that allows controlled oversteer drifts.

Ford has also confirmed a maximum torque of 324lb ft (440Nm) will be boosted to a heady 346lb ft (470Nm) for 15-second intervals during hard acceleration. Making it of the most powerful AND punchiest hatchbacks ever.

When the Mk2 RS went up the Goodwood Hill before that came out it had a catless exhaust. Looks like they've gone the other way and made it quieter  Although it does have a nice little rasp and pop when stationary.

Reminds me of my old Mazda 3 MPS - that was a really quiet car in comparison to my previous Mk2 Focus ST with it's 5 pot. The new RS has a development of that 2.3L engine in my old MPS so no surprise it's similar really.

All-new Ford Focus RS sprints 0-62mph in 4.7 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 165mph

Fastest ever Ford RS model now available to order from £28,940 featuring Ford Performance AWD and 350PS 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine

Innovative Focus RS also offers Drive Modes – including industry-first Drift Mode – and Launch Control; customer deliveries of high performance hatchback starting in Europe in early 2016

God the front looks like a 5 year old has been let loose with a pen, It's so ugly. I just don't know What's going on, it's like all the motor car manufactures can't find any cool designers so have turned to leepoo and burney for ideas?

start again ford please.

3doors, wider arches ,or some wheel arch body kit, a new front that doesn't look like a fish that your about to rip its inside out because the hooks stuck, some round driving lights and a signature spoiler, it's an RS not a Bangalor banger.
Then again I'm an old fart who really doesn't want to look a chav.

Its 1599kg with a 75kg driver, so its actually 1524kg that the car itself weighs. Think I read somewhere that includes all fluids and half a tank of petrol too which not all suppliers don't necessarily quote the same.

Best wait for the comprehensive AutoCar review as they'll weigh it.
