Welcome to the site. I'm a newbie too and have "cosmetic" problems. One of the things I found with the headlamps - one of mine was also busted when I bought the car - was that you only need the lens, if you can at all help it try to avoid buying the whole unit. You'll be kicking yourself like I did when you find out you can just pop the lens off and click another back in it's place.

I have the door problem too, both sides as well. I adjusted the latch and strike plates which helped a bit but I'm still to discover what the actual problem is.

Good luck with your new motor, hope you have as much fun in her as I am in mine.

Jen

well I didnt know that... I even asked aford dealer if I could just buy the lens and the buggers told me no lol, where can I get the lens from? a scrappy?

ask Dal when you see him ;)

he sells them :)

No I don't anymore. I've done a deal with DMB graphics to sell them now so I don't have to get involved.

I asked my local Ford dealer - TC Harrison in St. Neots - and they sell me just the lens new for £120ish. There are places online where you can get the whole assembly for about that new.

i thought it would be cheaper than that, I have a scrappy priced me a whole unit in perfect condition at £68 so might just go with that then thanks anyway

What do you mean by the lens? the outer clear plastic covering or the internal bit that concentrates the beam?

And if the outer plastic bit, can this really just be taken off and a new one put on because mine is very hazy and I thought it was attached to the weather sealant so you need a new assembly to replace it.

the front lens can be taken of, it may be attached to the sealant but that can easily be re attached, they do not come cheap though, you would be better of buying a whole new light fro the price that the lens comes at

yeah, I didn't know the lens just came off as people are always saying to clean the inside you have to remove the whole lot, strip, then fill with water etc etc.

Is this an easy job or is it a mess about having to cut all the sealant then hope you get a good seal again?

As some know, one of mine looks like it has been in a mud bath - inside....lol

The Puma's I've seen in the scrappy had all their lights off and the gearknobs away.

Colin (BOK) did a guide for this on Pumapeople:

A similar guide available here:

But no idea what happened to the images?
