Hi all
I’m a bit confused after searching for old posts regarding removing the power steering. I have a 1999 non aircon Puma that I race on the Lydden Hill oval. I’m thinking of removing the power steering but not sure what I need. As I said, it’s a non aircon model. What belt/tensioner do I need? What about the rack, do I just link the ps pipes so it doesn’t run dry?

I believe you would need some sort of tensioner.

Hi Neil,

I fitted the tensioner off a 1.25 zetec fiesta and a 6PK 1180 belt. The tensioner pulley sits a little higher and pulls the belt up against the top idler pulley.
