Also picked up a spare fuel tank. Needs a fair amount of work to get it decent. Possibly a little summer project.
Well done all round! I am thinking my petrol tank is going to need love as I filled the tank up recently and now It smells of petrol with the cap closed!

Got all the parts I need for the radiator / cooling system overhaul.

This is from a newer car however was going to use it to separate the fuel lines on the bulkhead. Mine are currently zip tied 🫠

Also picked up a spare tank. Which I hoped to restore however it looks pretty rough inside. Any thoughts on it?

Drivers seat needs a repair. Sooner rather than later.

Also found this for £5 on FB marketplace. Wrong colour for the Mille however thinking to use it as a wall / door guard in the garage.

If the weather stays decent I’ll crack on with the rad swap this weekend.

Few jobs ticked off.

New boot strut. The boot pops lovely now!

Rust converted wax oiled a number of areas.

However the main job was to get the LED indicators installed. Very happy with the results. They are way brighter. Next up is sidelights.

Not terrible for 24 years. Going to get these bits cut out soon.

Also sorted the LED sidelights not working. Turned out to be a bad connection on the headlight plug (after blowing 10 fuses trying to diagnose it) 🤣

New drivers door seal (thanks Pumashacked!)
IMG_1911.jpeg

Replaced the gear selector bracket with a nice billet version.

IMG_1916.jpeg

Picked up some ST150 front calipers. And gave them an overhaul.

New pistons, seals, sliders and bleed-nipples.

Just need to figure out some discs and pads for them. Also got 4 new carrier bolts.

Then tackled the cooling system. I’ve had a small leak for a while. Guessed it was the rad. Turned out to just be a hose (thankfully)

Had a silicone set to go on anyway so got stuck in last weekend.

Swapped the expansion tank too while I was there as the old one had some scorch marks from a small bay fire. (Before my time)

Bled the air out. (Thanks Pumashacked for all the tips!) and thankfully no more leaks!

Couple of updates in one.

We got some Puma’s together for a Sunday morning meet up at East Beach in Shoebury a few weekends ago.

Got the ST150 front calipers fitted. Went for EBC Ultimax discs and yellow stuff pads. Guys at Pumashacked made light work of getting them fitted! 🙌

Then had rust cut out of the floor. It wasn’t too bad but happy to have it sorted.

Car is back together now. Got a show planned this weekend.

Attended Motorfest 2024 in Chelmsford at the weekend. The one and only Puma 🤣

Since I owned the car the underside of the bonnet had some scorching to the paint. I’ve since found out this was an engine bay fire caused by leaking power steering fluid. 🫠

It was time to sort it with some left over paint I had. Prepped and sanded, primer and paint. Happy with the result and finally it’s no longer crispy. 🤣

Before:

Next up is the Aux belt and squeaky tensioner. I need to source one and then get them fitted. Awkward as this has had the AC removed. Obsolete at Ford now too 😭
