Remote Central locking - not working

Hi,

I've run out of ideas of whats wrong with my remote central locking.

Was woking fine until a couple of weeks ago and then just suddently stopped working.

I've fitted a new battery thinking that would work - but didnt.

The key still drives the car so dont think I need to re programme it? But have done the programme for the remote locking where you turn the key in the ignition and the fog light comes on. However when I press the key fob button nothing happens.

I'm guessing that somehow the key fob is broken but dont really wanna fork out for a new key unless I have to - is there anything else that I've missed?

The key still locks the door and I can alarm it via the key in the door lock

Any ideas would be great.

You might still need to reprogramme the remote locking function on your key as its seperate to the immobiliser function

Since you've changed the battery take it back out and check the little metal contacts are correctly seated and make a good contact with the battery. I had this once before, bent them a little bit and programmed it. Job done. Sounds like you're following the right steps though.

Hi i am new to this site and have just bought my first puma my remote locking isnt working at all the key unlocks the car manually and starts the car but the remote doesnt do anything at all can anyone help me please
