remove control key not workinmg

i have tried to sync remote contol key with car , after 4 turns of the key get the bleep but ,pressed button , nothing happens , where in the car is the syncing module in car maybe i need to replace , any ideas ,, have 2001 , 1,6 puma

Before starting anything in the car I would get the remote fob checked, these take a lot of abuse, some times the battery contacts become dislodged and sometimes the board itself gets damaged.

As above, check the fob is actually sending a signal, once car goes into learning mode you should be able to push any button and indicators will flash to say it's recognised the key, sounds like the signal is not getting sent from the remote fob
