SEEING DOUBLE?

Hi, I asked for help with locating the temperature sender sensor, and received the following reply.

underneath the coil pack- right under neath! you need a 1/2 inch spanner (13mm slips) it has a plug on it which just pulls off. buy a ford replacement (others dont work well) - £16

remove coil pack, might need to remove battery and tray to get at it properly (the first time anyway!!)

top up coolant when replaced_________________

When checking this out, I found a twin of the sensor, only it had a black head, not white.
This was near to the manifold, to the front of the bonnet, about halfway along the bonnet line (as one faces the car).
Is THIS the temperature sensor sender, or ids this something else, such as an exhaust sensor or something?

I could not see a sensor sender underneath the battery tray.

You mean this one?

That's the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) as it's on the throttle body.

The one your after is behind that and under what looks like a distributor. (I think)
