hi guys looking to change my front top mounts and bearings for the M.O.T any body got any tips on how to do it?!?! and is it simpleish to do?
cheers matt

loosen but dont remove nut on top of vibration weight. You will need a deep swan neck spanner and 6mm allen key in middle of it to stop it spinning.

jack car up, remove wheel undo the pinch bolt on the bottom of the shock/hub, plenty of wd40 hit hub down off the shock, you might need a hub seperater tool if its difficult.

undo nut on shock/droplink, undo nut on brake hose holder

remove nut on top of anti vibration weight, remove shock assembley from car

sping compressor on the springs, undo nut on top mount and you can remove the top mounts

IIRC, the top mount damper is loose on top of the strut assembly once you remove it from the wheel-arch. You then need to compress the spring and remove the piston rod nut to replace the thrust bearing.
