Hi there all. Ive been getting used to the Puma over the past few months and its time to start getting it ready for a few track days. Im considering which are the best modifications for the money.

Ive got a couple of things in mind. Ive seen that you can get an upper-front strut brace / lower-front strut brace & rear strut braces. Does anybody have any or all of these, or know how effective they can be? Would a novice tell the difference with any/all of these whilst on a track?

Also, how about a decent set of Brembo or similar discs & pads – would they make a significant difference if I retain the original callipers?

Cant go too mad because of £££ (or lack of!) but want to improve the Puma if it makes it a better track experience.

Is there anything else anyone would change before their 1st track day?

Look forward to hearing from anyone with any thoughts!

most important things really are to fit aftermarket gauges for coolant temp and oil pressure,as these will give you more accurate info than the dashboard will,so you will be able to see if there is a problem straight away, tyres secondly, then a decent set of disks and pads, once you have had some experiance on the track then start to try strut braces etc till your happy with the set up.

most trackdays will recommend you only do about 5 laps out and then come in to cool the car down anyway so i dont see the point of doing anything to the car. your not out to race just to have an enjoyable time
