unusual sound

this noise only occurs the first time i pull away after starting car after its been off and cooled..

when i pull away and change in 2nd i get a slight crunch noise but im in gear moving and im talking a very slight crunch noise no slowing down no nothing just this noise any ideas??

it can appen f i leave it in first and drive out of works car park after a few seconds of being in 1st make this noise but once only then never does it again??

Traction control self-test, ignore and dont worry about it unless it suddenly goes away :grin:

Normal - it's the ABS self test.
Edit: pah! beaten to it

Actually if you read it, it was supposed to sat ABS self-test but I guess I was close enough

No, I'd imagine early 1.4s without ABS would not do this.
