Eeh Paul, Ford didn't mess around when they made their cars luxurious did they? I remember one of the young lads at Barnsley Met where I worked had a boggo basic Ford Fiesta MK1. That had rubber mats instead of carpets and only one sunvisor for the driver.... tight sods!!!
Back in the day engines didn't last that long and it would have been good to see manufacturers fit oil pressure gauges in fact cars ought to have them now, mind you some people might not know what it means and ignore it anyway.
Still looking forward to the photos though.

I managed to find one, this was not long after I got it. Had been resprayed but they hadn't done the blue bits :? , I had the roof and stripe painted not long after this. If I find any more I'll post them up.

Nice Paul and TBH you haven't changed much, how long ago was that?
To Richard Mansfields earlier post which I'd missed,on the car park on the way into Fordfair last year there was an Escort Twink parked up for sale at £60k if I remember rightly.

Hehe, cheers Barry.About 18 years ago I think.
That little fella in the car is a big 22 year old fella now

Hi Paul
So the Anglia was 30 years old in the picture, I bet you wish you still had it as it looks in good nick. I hope your son has inherited your love of Fords (he has a Puma from memory?)

I seriously am going to have to scratch the Type R itch when I get home. I just love this interior - need to try and find a Sat Nav equipped model:

I'm not sure that many if any of the Champ White FN2s will have nav. I prefer the interior without the sat nav. (It's not a very up to date unit). I'm tempted to get a standard 8G civic as a weekday car again. I think the puma replacement may well be an S2000....

Love the Ginetta G60 comes with a beasty 3.7 litre version of the Ford V6 Cyclone engine.

Isn't that just a rebadged Farbio GTS?!

According to Wiki Ginetta bought Farbio (never heard of them before) GTS was the precursor to the G60, so in essence yes... BUT would imagine Ginetta would of used their knowledge to make a few adaptions and the Farbio didn't come with the 3.7 litre version of the V6 (did have a supercharged 3.0 v6 option though). Would love to have a go in the G60 especially around a track.

I doubt they had to do much. The GTS was regarded as a pretty well sorted car when it launched so Ginetta probably just had to slap a more modern engine in the back and swap the badges out. Stunning looking car though!

Go and view it like you should have this last weekend!

At least you'll know if you like them. You might drive it and hate it then you can stop worrying :eek:k:

Just as a note - is the ST170 Focus the same to 60 as a Puma 1.7?
