I've had to replace the passenger seat on my nephew's Puma (1997, 1.7 petrol, manual)-how it got broken ....something to do with a new girlfriend and , in-car entertainment, apparently.

The seat went in OK, but the yellow wiring that connects to the yellow connector that comes up from the floor, then runs under the seat to the connector on the airbag, is faulty and is setting off the airbag light.

I've checked and cleaned all the connectors, reset by obviously disconnecting the battery 'fore I started, but it's the lead itself that seems broken.

Do you have a passenger side airbag wiring loom or do you know where one can be found?

I know it's a small part, but an important one.

Good price paid.
Best wishes
John

Was it setting off the light before you swapped seats over?

With something like that, which is such an important safety aspect of the car, I'd go and see Ford myself.

Did you swap the pre-tensioner from the original seat?

This would probably fix it if it was ok before swapping.
