    Temp gauge issues

I recently dropped in a new engine into my gf's puma. Her car is an S , the new engine came from an X reg, got it all connected up with the exception of a temp sensor wire because the engine came with it's own loom and there wasn't a connector for it. The gauge reads and stays stone cold. Now...

    Vinyl Wrap Ideas

Please do not expect to be able to get hold of vinyl and simply slap it on your car, you will end up wasting it, there is a good reason why you are getting the prices that have been quoted. fitting is not simple! If a company does it for you and it fails you have come back, plus the finish...

How long can a timing belt last?

soooo your gf runs on batteries, so that would make her a battery operated sex doll, mate you're a braver man than me for admitting that on an open forum :D

How long can a timing belt last?

for the sake of £300 get it done a replacement engine may only cost £500, but once you factor everything else in it'll cost way more than that my gf's engine removed last week

    MPG

The gf' Puma, used to give between 260-280 and that engine had covered 156,000 miles once the new(er) engine is fully operational (just gotta sort clutch bleeding..which has turned into a mare ) ill be interested in seeing if its about that same

    A rather productive day

But there is no movement at all on the gauge at all, the needle is way off the gauge prior to starting, I started the engine yesterday and let it idle for a good ten mins and it hadnt moved one bit, granted the thermostat hadn't opened letting water through. But surely the needle would have...

    A rather productive day

All fired up today, the engine runs ok, although there is a rhythmic "clicking" noise from the aux belt apart from that it's pretty quiet, the clutch needs bleeding too which should be easy to sort There is one slight issue, the temp gauge no longer works I double checked the connector ( under...

Yes the engine is a total write off, mo point trying to rebuild it when engines can be had so cheaply. The disco potato is a GT2860r (GT28RS) and is pretty good turbo just not as good as a 2871, i pretty sure the turbo on a GTiR is actually a T25...T25h or something!?! So it'll spool ok Just...

    A rather productive day

The Old one was a T28r-GT2560r (R means roller bearing) which is basically a standard T28 with dual bearing core, means more boost than standard and lightening quick spool The new one, is a GT2871r, basically same size casings, everything else is larger, the standard compressor/turbine on a T28...
