    Manual to electric Wing Mirror?

Hello. Long story short... crazy ass woman takes a blind bend to fast, loses control and strays over the road and wipes out my driver side mirror (thankfully I had a driving instructor who taught how to corner properly, so I was tucked right into the corner on my side of the road  ). My...

    Alarm assistance needed...

I have a virtually identical problem. Originally I could set the alarm using both the key in the lock and remotely. However the drivers side stopped working with the key. The remote stuff was fine, but opening the car from the driver's side with the key in the lock did not disengage the alarm...

My first car car was and still is a Puma. I've had it for ten years now. I've driven other cars, but nowt comes close to its handling. I replaced teh standard '98 alloys with 17 inch types, and it's a dream to throw around a corner. One of the most amazing experiences of my life was dribing...

    Cambelt change... any tips?

Hello, I am going to be sending my Puma into the garage for a new cambelt and I am atfer some advice. Does the water pump need to be changed at the same time? I seem to recall someone on here stating that this wasn't necessary although I could be wrong. What kind of price, on average should I...

puma has let me down for the first time!

I had a similar problem after I finished one evening in December. Although in my case I realised that I had left my side lights on. The car was dead... no central locking, alarm, clock... Fortunately my employer has some handy folks around who gave me a battery boost and off I toddled.

    Lambda/hego question!

OKies, is this the Lambda Sensor? http://www.projectpuma.com/gallery/image_page.php?album_id=116&image_id=818 ...and finally, I believe the "tens" are the two bolts on the item just to the left of the red cylinder bit in the middle. It is a square peice of metal, with a round piece of metal...

Puma Problems (key fob, knocking, alarm and er back seat!)

First of all, sorry for not checking this thread sooner! The short answer is I have no idea mate. I asked the mechanic to have a look as part of my service. the reposne was that it had been fixed by tidying up some loose wires. That said, one month later and the problem has come back in a...

    Lambda/hego question!

Hi folks. To cut a long story short... I had some issues with my car and had the Engine Management System looked at by a friend of a friend. It flagged the Lambda Sensor as faulty, and thus the diagnostics ended there. From looking at previous MOT's which included emissions testing, the Lambda...

Puma Problems (key fob, knocking, alarm and er back seat!)

Well a little update. The key fob and remote central locking are now sorted out. I followed the FAQ, got some batteries from Tesco's for about £5 and did the reprograming. It worked a treat and I am rather glad I told the Ford Dealership to nicely get stuffed when they offered to run it through...

    FRP314 Under Shell Works

Gaaah you're lucky :-P It's an effort to get my missus to help wash my car, let alone work on the exhaust! There's a lot of inspiration in this project, I only wish I had more time on my hands as I exp[ect my lowly Puma could do with a similar kind of loving. PS: thanks for the tips on...

Puma Problems (key fob, knocking, alarm and er back seat!)

My apologies, I should've done that first. I've printed out the guide for the two button remote and I'll give that a whirl. I'd forgotten about the warning buzzer, it's been that long since it worked... that made me smile :-P I'm not sure if I feel confident enough to take the door apart, so...
