Hi,

My 3 button key fob was working but has been a bit touchy and then last night it stopped working so I think the battery has gone and needs replacing... Did a search on here and see I need a 2032 battery but was wondering if you have to re-programme the fob after changing the bettery or should it still be programmed?

Many thanks,

Lawrence

It depends how quickly you change it I think as i've swapped batteries without needed to reprogram the remote central locking. In any case that's easy enough to reprogram.

If the key has been bashed about it could be the the contacts aren't fully touching the battery and hence caused it to stop working, I had this after replacing a battery once and because I didn't realise it did lose the program and need re-coding.
