I'm going for a clutch change and it was recommended to me that an organic stage 1 fast road clutch would be a good choice.
Bearing in mind I'm going down the turbo route, so want to have a good clutch while I've got the opportunity to get one put in.

Has anyone on here got, had or used one of these clutches?

Looking for some opinions on pedal feel etc.

I will be replacing the slave cylinder too, so is a standard one ok with the fast road clutch?

myself and a few others have fitted a 220mm clutch, i think mines from a focus but not 100%. lighter pedal but should be slightly stronger than the 210mm std one, and cheaper than an 'uprated' std size clutch. just an option for you mate.

You'll may need to skim the flywheel, by now it will probably have a ridge worn on it and the 220mm will not have full-face contact.

Try cg motorsports clutches. those are crazy good :) http://www.clutch-specialists.co.uk/info-which-clutch" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Also good prices
I am on a 220mm from a focus, and will soon buy a stage 1, after some other mods
pedal feel is way lighter, like pressing butter now. replaced the CSC also and the pressure plate :), but i did not skim the flywheel, it works like a charm as it is :p

have you got one of these fitted? (stage 1 or 2 etc)

can you give more details how it compares to the standard LUK item?

cheers

Chris

iv'e got the stage 3 paddle one i haven't test it under extreme load about 180bhp low boost, but Erroll had one in the green puma 230bhp i bought mine after Erroll and i think they changed it abit, the listing went from 180bhp to 250bhp and the springs looked thicker, mine feels great not heavy or snappy no slipping on launch (the std clutch did on low boost)

I repeat, :)
I am on a 220mm from a focus, and will soon buy a stage 1.
So that is a new, standard focus clutch plate, but has way more contact area than the skinny puma oem, and makes quite a difference in slip (doesn't slip as much)
About cg motorsoprts clutches, a friend has one on a 1.6 focus pushing 160 bhp and is a treat (stage 1)
