Hello everyone. Long time since I've been here! Puma is still alive (just) planning to give it a bit of a restoration over time.

So here's it's replacement, a mk2 Focus ST-3.

A foamy bath with its Puma friend

alexwilliams840?? Who is this member we see before us!? :-D

Looks like you've been hit by the dreaded Photobucket curse as your pictures were visible earlier!

Welcome back!

I've got lots of time for the Mk2 Focus ST - my >old orange one< is about the only car I've ever had that I really regret selling.

Keep us updated! :pose2:

Thanks! I'm so happy with it. Very civilised when just driving around but really goes when you want it to!

Just thought of a few things to watch for:

Oil Filter Housing Diaphragm - If your car starts to sound like a space ship, then this is on it's way out. Don't drive on boost if it does as you may pop a cam seal. Get the RS One as it's rated for higher powers.
Boost Solenoid - if you start to get no boost, or full boost only, then you'll need another. About £40 from Ford and accessed through the OSF wheel arch
Lower arm bush - a slightly worn one caused 2 sets of front discs to prematurely warp on mine.
Seat sub frame can fail on the weld - new ones are available from Ford.
Ford discs and pads are pretty reasonably priced and perform well if you need replacements
Inability to drive by a petrol station without needing to fill up again

If it wasn't for the tax and MPG I'd have another in a heartbeat as a daily.

Lower arm bush - a slightly worn one caused 2 sets of front discs to prematurely warp on mine. Didn't know about that one, thanks!

Inability to drive by a petrol station without needing to fill up again  35 mpg on my 160 mile motorway journeys, 20 around town

If it wasn't for the tax and MPG I'd have another in a heartbeat as a daily. I can 100% see why

Current state:

3" Downpipe & Decat
RamAir group A filter
Turbosmart Recirc valve
Airtec intercooler with scoops and big boost pipes
Dreamscience MOD X+ V2
AutoSpecialists torque link
AutoSpecialists quick shifter

Big size difference and quality difference on those pipes.

Much stronger link, no vibrations on idle and smoother gear changes

Sprayed my grills matt black as standard they are grey but look very weathered

A fair few coats of Halfords own matt black. Very easy to remove, lower is just clips all round and upper has a few fixings and clips. If you're smart about it you can get away with no broken clips
