Install separate switch for high beams in headlight!

My multifunctionaI switch on steering column is not working properly and I am not able to turn on my high beams.

So, I am wondering how can I install and wire separate switch for it. Do somebody knows or experinced simmilar issue before?

The stalks might be faulty? I don't think they are too expensive second hand, might be easier than installing a manual switch.

You might also run into Mr MOT man as well if you go for a seperate switch for main beam

Yep I had this after attempting to repair non cancelling indicator stalk. It was a dodgy connection in the stalk switch itself. If you don't fancy dismantling the stalk control assembly (and it's hard, I've done it, but there were springs and bits everywhere) then get a secondhand one from eBay. Mine was £10 or so, I think it was actually from an Escort but worked and fitted fine
