Thanks, it's something I've always wanted to do. Plus it'll make my parents proud as hell, which is a big part for me.
 
I wear a green suit and fire a gun (now and then).

Suffered a back injury which has pretty much ended my career early so I'll soon be a civilian and have no clue where to go from here! Some very interesting professions on here, some sound very interesting. I think a nice progression of this thread would be a short description of how you got into your job an what quals you've had to attain to get there!
 
Here goes.

A levels in maths, technology and physics
Sponsorship with the MOD - year out pointing at grey boxes on warships.
Electronic engineering degree
Job as electronic engineer - mostly working with the same transponders Ford put in the Puma keys.
Realise that electronics is difficult so specialise in software
Get a job programming
Get another job programming
Loose job
Work in a bike shop (learned so much doing that!)
Get another job programming
Work up to management.

Sounds like my job working in Dagenham Ford engine plant :lol:
Only difference is I'm not really in any danger. Fair play to you.
 
White van man for a packaging company- deliver all over the south east, previous job i worked at ford motor company in dunton essex, used to deliver/layout ford engines for inspection at dagenham.
 
Anyone in IT know anyone in the Leeds area that might want to give me a job in IT? I am wasting/wasted my life. I should be working in IT.

Currently drive a van delivering goods to sparkys. Freelance IT stuff.

Massive respect to the health care and the armed forces guys.

Update from my original post. I am now promoted to Senior maintenance coordinator. Been stuck as a supervisor for the last 14yrs. Must be doing something right as I beat 38 other candidates for the position :grin:

This was my progression from a coke can. Always looking for ways to improve :lol:
Might need to rethink how I do things on the bigger stage :lol:

But I keep getting in trouble at the leisure center coz of the Sprinters...
