fitted a set of my stainless bridge pipes today & one just would not seal!!!!

took then out & the ends of the unions were spreading and not pushing against the flange to seal it.....iv seen a set of alcon steel ones do this but not as bad....the stainless is a little more brittle but iv had plenty that were fine so far......probably just a one off, iv put a 'good as new new' alcon one in & is now fine...just.....the stainless one on my other caliper is fine as well....i think it is just a one off but with the threads starting to get old you can feel the unions and bleed nipples are having to work a little harder...

just keep an eye on them, especially if your re-using parts.....

the pair you sold me in may both did this had to bin them and use the old ones...

bugger! will sort that.....

how are your threads? cos one of mine fitted perfectly, one crap......!!!???!!!

they both seemed fine but trying to bleed the system and the fluid came out s quick as i put it in lol

yeh, same as one of mine...but the other was completely fine!

will experiment.....& when im happy you can have another set on me....

cool! weird how some work....got some ready to test when i swap calipers over which will give me a better idea of which unions arent sealing... or whether its the shape of the flange (everytime i take them for flanging the guy swears at me! stainless is a pig to do
